Raw materials are few, Latvia needs to import these. Half of the country's land is plow land, 30% is a forest. Their manufacturing, mechanical and chemical industry is sturdy. Latvia mainly exports agricultural machines, chemical goods, and food products. Their main and largest port is Klaipeda. The Kaliningrad - Russia train line runs to Latvia.
